These strips allow you set a unique colour, mixing Red, Green, Blue and optionally White.

Colour strip can create an unique environment from subtle to extravagant. The linear nature of strip lighting presents many more interesting ways to integrate colourful high-lights into a space. Washing walls subtly to enhance add extra vibrancy to interior decorations, As a nightlighting effect, providing visual cues to occupants and lighting up outdoor areas for special events. Our colour strips are designed to have rich colour rather than raw output to set them apart from others. Red, Green, Blue plus White mixing strips allow you to further adapt the tone of your lighting to suit the environment and mood.

Suggestions

Use reflected off a surface or indirectly and dim it down for more subtlety. Mix a small amount of some colour in with the white to make the light glow without a noticable hue. Magenta can make everyones skin look perfect at a party. Contrast between complimentary colour pairs say for example on plants and the walls the create a sureal effect. Deep dim-red lighting on at night to find your way around. Behind the television and washing other walls without lighting the room when watching movie.

Installation

Colour strips are 24V. This allows longer distances of strip with connection than 12V without significantly reduced light output.

  • Red-Green-Blue (RGB) strips have three-channels so four wire connections are needed including ground.
  • Red-Green-Blue-White (RGBW) also adds white to the mix giving you the widest range of options. Five wires total to connect this model.

A special controller is required to adjust the relative levels of RGB or RGBW. _LINK

RGB strip requires a 3-channel controller. RGBW requires a 4-channel controller.

The controller is installed after the power supply in the system - they typically have quite high power ratings so one is enought for small to medium size installations.

For a professional installation, match with suggested suitable profiles.

Physical

Protection

IP54 is used by these models. This level of protection is the minimum for all the strip ranges. Sealed plastic sheathing means that the strip can be easily wiped free of dust.

Adhesive peel-off 3M tape backing allows direct secure mounting inside profiles or upon other surfaces.

Lifetime

SDCM<3 Means the colour temperature of light that you select for your strip will be accurate from LED to LED.
